Senior Pet Health Checks

With the cold winter months approaching we wanted to invite you to one of our senior pet appointments. This is a great opportunity for your pet to get a free health check up from one of our veterinary nurses and to discuss with them any concerns you may have about your pets health. Our pets inevitably get old but these days there is many things we can do to make those later years enjoyable and fulfilled for both you and your companion. We will get your pet weighted, discuss their diet and many aspects of their health and if our nurses have any concerns there will be vets on hand to give advice and offer any treatment which will improve your pets quality of life. In addition if you collect a urine sample from your pet and bring it along with you we will test that for free (cat collection kits are available from the surgery free of charge).

You may have been thinking for some time of symptoms your pet may be showing that you were concerned about. That extra weight loss, are you filling up their water bowl a couple more times a day? Are they eating that extra tin of dog food that they didn't used to want or just that they don't seem to be enjoying their walks as before or arn't playing like they once did?

Many clues to your pets health can be detected on their exam but sometimes we need some help with further tests. During your senior pet appointment, if we feel a further test would allow us to determine whether your pet has an illness then we are offering blood tests for both dogs and cats at a reduced price as well as discounted dental work if your pet requires this.
