Helen Munday

Helen qualified from Glasgow Veterinary School in 2006 and started work in a mixed practice in North Yorkshire. After a couple of years she got itchy feet so left Yorkshire to spend six months volunteerng for an animal charity in India. There she neutered a lot of street dogs and wrestled a few camels!

Back in the UK she worked for a short spell in small animal practice, up near home in the Highlands before flying out again to work in dairy practice in South Island, New Zealand. Her work here was during the busy scanning season so got up to spead fairly quickly with scanning cows.

She is now firmly back in Scotland and has been at Thrums since July 2010 initially as a locum and now as a permanent member of staff. She really enjoys being in a rural mixed practice, particularly getting out onto the farms.

Out of work, she often heads back home to the west coast for some hill walking and canoeing.
