Farm Animals

The practice is able to offer a wealth of experience in all aspects of Farm animal medicine and surgery.

Whilst we spend a large amount of our time responding to calls to sick animals or problems surrounding calving and lambings we like to take a pro-active approach in terms of herd medicine and disease prevention.

We are one of only 5 practices in the whole of Scotland invited to join XLVets, a unique national organisation which aims to promote best practice amongst likeminded veterinary practices. It is an invitation only organisation as not all practices are the same or have the right philosophy. It enables us to keep our costs down and these savings are passed onto to the client. It also allows us to easily tap into some of the most advanced expertise in the country to help make your farm as efficient as possible.

We also run our own regular FarmSkills training courses for farmers and their staff, details of which can be found here.

We are a fully accredited practice having undergone a rigorous inspection process by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. Not all practices are inspected or accredited to this high standard so it is important to look for the logo below.
